During this webinar, Gaurav Lalwani, Ph.D., Medical Applications Development Engineer, and Ron Aman, Ph.D., AM Technology Center Manager, discuss BioDur 108, an FDA approved, essentially nickel- and cobalt-free alternative to other stainless steel options, currently used for several medical applications such as implantable orthopedic devices, high-strength surgical instrumentation and orthodontic devices. In this webinar, we discuss the latest developments on BioDur 108 for additive manufacturing with a focus on powder chemistry and 3D printed components on a Laser Powder Bed Fusion machine. Our preliminary results showcase the realization of cold work properties in a 3D printed component.
